In the midst of Amy's baby shower, Charlie reveals the surprising reason behind her mom's motive for having the party. Meanwhile, Teddy and Ivy find themselves hosting the most boring show at their local radio station, and Bob makes PJ and Gabe compete for a playoff game ticket by proving who knows their dad best.[1]
Episode Summary[]
Amy wants to have a baby shower for her fifth kid. So, she has Mary Lou throw her one. All Mary Lou has to do is show up and host, but Amy will actually plan it. Despite already talking about it, Amy wants to be surprised when the baby shower starts. Later, Amy says bad things about all the women she's inviting; and Charlie overhears..... Later, it starts. All the women (Debby Dooley, Mary Lou, Karen, etc.) are in the house. Amy comes in and acts surprised. She fakes that Mary Lou has a scavenger hunt planned (she plans it and gives stuff to Mary Lou then). Later, Amy goes to the bathroom. Charlie then reveals all the bad things Amy said about them. The women leave with their gifts. Later on, Amy is sad about how the party turned out but now realizes that she shouldn't have said all those things with Charlie listening, Mary Lou comforts Amy.
Meanwhile, Teddy and Ivy have to do volunteer work as interns at a local radio station for high school credit. The station is a quiet, boring station. The manager won't sign their paper until they do the work. During the show, the host faints, so Teddy and Ivy have to host it for the next four hours. Getting bored, Teddy changes the subject to anything in the universe, whether it was fruit or other foods. Nobody calls in to the radio to chat, except for Ivy, who tells Teddy they have no audience. Teddy and Ivy start trash-talking the radio station by rapping on the radio. The manager then fires them and won't sign their paper.
Also, Bob has to pick PJ or Gabe for a hockey ticket. Gabe tries to come up with two different ways to settle who will get the other ticket, but PJ knows Gabe's trying to trick him. They try to settle a method where they can both go, but the plan backfires. To settle who gets the ticket, Bob decides to do a game show to see which one of them knows the most about him. At first, it goes well as they know their dad's favorite foods but when Bob asks when his birthday is, neither of them know. They eventually go through every day of the year with Bob hitting the buzzer, he finally decides that neither of them can go. Eventually, he picks Teddy to go to the hockey game instead (she knew his birthday).
