Episode Summary[]
A Moonlight dance is approaching at Teddy and P.J.'s school. P.J. asks Bob for some cash so he can DJ at the school's dance, but Bob says no as he wants P.J. to do it himself. Emmett tries to get Teddy to ask him to the dance, but she doesn't. Later that day Gabe tells Amy that he wants to go play Lazor tag with Charlie and everyone on Friday night, but Amy tells him that Friday night is his school's parent teacher night. Despite Gabe pointing they have been to plenty parent teacher nights, and they would all enjoy Lazor tag, Amy says they can do that anytime, she actually wants to meet Gabe's teacher as she hasn't called to complain about him. After she leaves, Gabe reveals to P.J. that he hasn't gotten into trouble because he had been saying that his parents arguing, which results in him not completing his assignments. Teddy asks Spencer out for the big night, and Ivy asks out Emmett so she and Teddy can get rides to the dance. Teddy tries to get her first kiss from Spencer, but Emmett, who is clearly jealous, tries to distract Spencer in the car. During a slow dance, Emmett asks P.J. to put on some hip hop which leads to a dance-off between the two dates. However, Teddy gets her first kiss with Spencer anyway. Meanwhile, Gabe tricks to get his parents to argue at a parent-teacher meeting because he has been lying to his teacher and when he tries to leave they don't budge and when his parents start getting along, he releases the class's pet rat, which runs around the room scaring everyone. As it turns out, he said that Bob hated Amy's perfume and that Amy hates it when Bob talks about his work. While his parents insist that they don't fight, they see a disturbing picture of Gabe crying while his parents are fighting. His parents demand an explanation, so Gabe confesses it was an excuse to not do any homework and as punishment he has to finish all of his overdue assignments by Monday.
