The third season of Good Luck Charlie was announced on August 29, 2011. Filming began on December 2, 2011. It premiered on May 6, 2012 and ended on January 20, 2013 and includes 23 episodes. Two episodes being 1-hour specials. (Special Delivery, All Fall Down). This is the first time Good Luck Charlie has had an official Season Finale, leaving a cliffhanger at the end of the Season Finale.

Season 3 focuses on many things, such as a new addition to the family, (Special Delivery), PJ moving out with Emmett (Baby Steps), Teddy also continues her relationship with Spencer for the second time, (Can You Keep a Secret?), Ivy and Teddy begin their 11th grade year of High School. (Amy Needs a Shower), Gabe starts to grow up and his voice starts to change in Season 3, as he is 13. He also starts going on dates with other girls, this shows that he is a teenager now. (Wentz's Weather Girls, Team Mom).
